Your engagement session is a chance to slow down, enjoy each other, and capture this part of your story just as it feels. Nothing too posed or overly perfect—just the two of you, the way you are together.
We’ll guide you along the way, but most importantly, we want you to have fun, be yourselves, and make a few memories along the way.

Choosing a time and place
Natural light is an important mark for quality photos because the light from the sun and the reflections create fresh and ethereal photos. To catch the “golden hour”, plan the engagement session 1-1.5 hours before sunset when the light is the dreamiest. Don’t forget to include possible preparation breaks such as changing the outfit in case you are planning to have two.
If you’re planning to wear two outfits, save your favorite one for the second half, and if you’re wearing only one, arrive in that.
As most of the people prefer weekend sessions, those days get booked
first and far in advance. If you also plan your engagement session on a weekend, book it as soon as you can. You can always get a fast pass to the front of the line by scheduling mid-week. In the event of rain, we have captured some gorgeous rainy engagement looks that look great! Don’t forget to bring an umbrella!
Styling your session
Every detail can make your engagement photos feel uniquely yours. Think outside the box and let’s bring your ideas to life.
Was your first date zip-lining? Let’s recreate it. Did you meet at a pizza shop? Let’s go back there. Love architecture, vibrant colors, or a certain part of the city? Bring it into your session.
This is your story, so whatever feels meaningful to the two of you is worth considering—no matter how big or small. The more personal, the better.
Just remember to keep your outfits in mind when choosing your location and activities, so everything comes together naturally and looks beautiful as a whole.
Getting ready for him
Start with one statement piece and build from there. The goal is to coordinate, not match—unless matching is your thing, of course.
Think about your favorite pieces in your closet and choose something that feels like you. Your engagement session should reflect who you are at this stage of your life, so while a well-tailored suit always looks timeless, it’s certainly not a requirement. The most important thing is that you feel comfortable and confident.
Keep your dress levels consistent with each other. If one of you is dressed formally, the other should complement that look. A pair of board shorts and a T-shirt probably won’t pair well with a formal suit.
Before your session, try everything on together—more than once. Seeing the outfits side by side will help you make sure everything works together before the camera comes out.
Getting ready for her
This is your time to shine. Think of your engagement session as an opportunity to dress up, have fun, and feel like the best version of yourself.
Start by choosing a palette of 3–4 colors that work well together. Think soft neutrals, earthy tones, blues, pastels, or other colors that feel natural to you. Try to avoid overly bright or neon shades that can pull attention away from you.
Once you have your color palette, choosing your outfit becomes much easier. Always keep your location in mind, too. An urban session might call for a hat, layered jacket, handbag, boots, or sneakers. For a beach session, think light fabrics, linen, sandals, sunglasses, or even going barefoot.
And don’t forget the little things. Accessories can add another layer of personality to your look. Earrings, bracelets, belts, or a beautiful handbag can bring just the right amount of detail. Choose one or two pieces that complement your outfit without competing with it.
For a softer, romantic touch, consider incorporating fresh flowers—a bouquet, a few stems, or even a simple floral crown.
Most importantly, choose something that makes you feel beautiful, confident, and completely yourself.
